Hi! I'm Juanita.

I have always been obsessed with old things, and as a child, I loved treasure hunting in second-hand shops together with my mom in Norway. This passion followed me into adulthood, and when I moved to Switzerland in 2022, a whole new world of antiquities opened up to me, and I discovered antique jewellery.

Since then, my passion for antique jewellery evolved into a dedicated pursuit of knowledge. I immersed myself in the field by building relationships with Swiss jewellers, auction houses, and gemmologists, studying authoritative reference books, and attending exhibitions to deepen my understanding. Through curiosity and initiative I developed a strong foundation in the history, craftsmanship, and symbolism of jewellery and gemstones.

I opened my own online shop for vintage and antique jewellery in Switzerland in 2024, and now I am creating my own collection of modern heirlooms in Dubai, inspired by the past.

I design each piece with a focus on creating jewellery that holds meaning, strongly influenced by the lost symbolism of antique jewellery. I work together with a fantastic team of gemmologists and jewellers, and we are happy to offer our expert knowledge

HNOSS

Hnoss comes from Northern mythology. Hnoss was the daughter of the goddess of love, Freya, and her name directly translates to “treasure” or “precious thing.”

Being from Norway, this heritage is important to me. Growing up surrounded by stories of Norse myths and the rich history of my homeland, I have always been drawn to the magic, symbolism, and beauty embedded in these tales. Naming the store Hnoss reflects my roots, but also my commitment to creating jewellery that feels treasured and meaningful with a story and a sense of wonder with them.
